Our all-inclusive pricing per year for a single location is $3750/yr per school location. Districtwide implementation will get an additional 20% discount. The quote includes the annual license fee, implementation, staff training, unlimited parent apps, SIS integration, and 24/7 support for the entire suite of Pikmykid features. Additionally, we also offer the Pikmykid Lite version which does not include parental engagement through a dedicated App for $1750/yr per school location. We understand that every school is different and hence contact Pikmykid for more customized pricing information. We also work with several state and federal agencies and have access to grants that enable us to discount our license fees to almost Zero in certain areas.

Pros

PikMyKid made our after school pick-up move much more quickly and efficiently. Parents love the safety features and we love the ease of organized carpool.
We love the program and it's ease of use. The support is wonderful and we appreciate the check-ins.
I think it has been a great addition for a school of our size and I love the added procreation it provides for our children and their families.
It has bee wonderful for our school and we have recommended it to all the other elementary schools in our district.

Cons

If people don't utilize it from their end, we are stuck doing the leg work online. If Wifi is weak, the app is basically not functional.
I also find that as parents are announcing, sometimes an parent that just announced for their child is accidentally sent to the car line because three seconds prior, a different name was there.
While it was only a few students, we didn't know about it until it was in front of us and a problem.
When you accidentally put the wrong number into the system, you cannot undo it and it sends a "false" notification to parents that their child was picked up because you cannot delete it.

"A+ product for arrival and dismissal"

Overall: We are a summer camp and use PikMyKid as the main tool for arrival and dismissal of students, ensuring that every camper gets to where they are supposed to be at the end of the day and that only authorized people can pick-up. We have used it for four years now and are very happy with the product and customer service. Because the product is designed for schools and other year-round programs, we had to do a little tweaking to integrate into a short-term program (our campers change weekly), but the folks at PikMyKid were very helpful and made the whole thing pain-free.

Pros: - Amazing customer service.- Product is well thought out and tested. It has all the features needed to ensure an easy and safe arrival and dismissal. At the same time, it doesn't have a thousand different features which detract from the main purpose and aren't really needed. -Ensures a safe dismissal-- kids only go home with folks who they are supposed to. - Easy to use and implement. PMK provides thorough training and has lots of resources available. The product is also easy to test and practice with on your own and with your staff. - Our parents love it. Anytime you have to change procedures with parents, there is prone to be backlash. The fact that PMK is an easy to use app and is straight forward, the majority of parents love it and didn't complain about the implementation.

Cons: - When on the "dispatch" screen, you have to keep it up and actively monitoring because there is currently no chime or notification to let you know that a parent has arrived. Probably not an issue for schools that have a set dismissal time, but when you have a window (ie. aftercare, 3:30-5:30), it would be helpful to have a chime or noise so that you didn't have to literally be sitting at the screen.-Like anything, there are certain limitations to the interface and design. That's expected.

Reasons for Choosing Pikmykid: I can't even remember the other companies name, but they were brand new and their product was still in testing-- not all features fully functional. We wanted a product that was more established and tested. Over the years we've been introduced to other products, but again, stuck with PikMyKid. PikMyKid has the features we need and use. It's pointless to move to another product just because it has a lot more features if you aren't going to use those features. PikMyKid has the basics we need and want.

"Pikmykid"

Overall: We were having software issues with our last dismissal enhancement system provider. I had several phone calls from parents that had a hard time. The team implementing the system here was always coming to me with issues as well. I looked at several different options. The entire process of contacting, deciding to go with Pikmykid, and implementing Pikmykid has been seamless and I wish I would have switched sooner. They are leaving their bets parts alone and innovating where no one else is. They are fantastic.

Pros: It is user-friendly, customizable, and the team at Pikmykid gets back to you quickly if you are ever in need.

Cons: I wish there was a button to remove the last person entered in the dispatcher.

Reasons for Choosing Pikmykid: Pikmykid was the best in show!

Reasons for Switching to Pikmykid: SDM took forever to input the parent IDs and customer support did nothing to fix it. So after a couple of months of this, I made the switch. They also told me I couldn't switch to having 3 digit parent IDs.

"Pikmykid"

Pros: Pikmykid app has streamlined our parent pick up system during a pandemic. We needed a safe and reliable way to get students to their parents/guardians quickly because of the large number of students being picked up in the short time. I am thankful we have this program in place.

Cons: The software doesn't constantly link with our opperating system and so we have to manually enter new students. I think it would also be easier for the system to already have the next student number in place so that we don't have keep track of the next students number.

"PMK is Efficient and User Friendly"

Overall: We used PMK daily. It was an integral piece to our overall systems and allowed us to ensure scholars went home to the appropriate vetted person and allowed us to be efficient with our system by projecting the scanned names to our scholars and training them to transition as soon as they saw their name. Our dismissal times were averaging between 8 minutes and 12 minutes for a group of about 200 scholars.

Pros: I appreciated the systematic benefits it offered for our dismissal system. It allowed organization and efficient communication across our staff and users and ensured we were safe and precise in ensuring scholars went home safely.

Cons: I think coordinating and getting parents all up and running and ensuring they use their PMK codes is the most work that goes into the system but it does reap benefits.

Reasons for Choosing Pikmykid: PMK was a way to ensure preciseness and efficiency and allowed a way to check our dismissal and gauge our ability to improve each time. It was and still is our preferred method.

Reasons for Switching to Pikmykid: We found this was a way to go back and see which scholars left and we could accurately pinpoint the time and how they left, if they walked or got picked up.

"Seamless School Dismissal"

Overall: PikMyKid has been a welcomed addition to our end of day routine. I was tasked with implementing a dismissal program my first year as an administrator, as the current format saw too many student near misses in the parking lot. PikMyKid has helped create a clear routine and procedure for dismissal that is easy to follow and also places ownership back on the families as well. Parents are responsible for delegating or updating their child's dismissal mode, if the parent does not update the mode, we will send the student on their designate mode of transportation so that we are able to facilitate a smooth process. This has helped speed up dismissal as well as time is not lost searching for a student.

Pros: We appreciate how the system flows for our dismissal at the end of the day. We are able to quickly get students out the door, in their vehicles or on school busses. The car line has been integral to the success of our implementation.

Cons: When parents that have the app are within our established radius of school, they are still not auto-announcing that they are at school, so we have to manually enter in the student car tag numbers.
