What’s Updated
Updated Filters
Staff users will notice improved filters throughout the portal, making it easier to select multiple groups of students at once. These updates can be seen in features such as Hall Pass and Student Tags.
Hall Pass Student Portal
To streamline the Hall Pass creation process in the Student Portal, a new search feature has been added – allowing students to quickly find and select their ‘leaving from’ and ‘going to’ destinations.
Additionally, when auto-approval is disabled, staff will now see the option to authorize a pending hall pass within the Manage Hall Pass page.
Check-In Feature
When using the check-in feature for after school, staff will receive a pop-up notification if they attempt to check a student into a location where the student is already checked in. This feature is designed not only to prevent duplicate check-ins when multiple staff members are managing the process, but also to improve reporting accuracy for after school programs.
In-Transit Feature
New to the portal this year is the In-Transit Feature! This allows staff supervising students in classrooms or common areas to mark when a student has left their location and is on their way to the dismissal area. Once marked, an icon will appear next to the student’s name for staff using the dispatcher, signaling that the student is en route to the dismissal area.

Mobile View Of Dismissal Progress Page
School users who access the portal on a mobile device or tablet will notice that ‘student status’ is now clearly visible – making it easier to view and track dismissal activity.
Training Materials
The Knowledge Base serves as a central hub of resources to support a successful implementation. School users can easily access our Customer Knowledge Base through the Training Materials links located on the portal dashboard. You can also find the Knowledge Base, Parent Resources, and more in your Admin Success Center!
Emergency Resources
To support a smoother and more efficient reunification process, we’ve added Standard Reunification Method resources – recommended by the I Love U Guys Foundation – to the school portal. These resources are designed to help schools implement best practices when using our Emergency Student Reunification feature.
Data Integrations
Clever
Schools using Clever can now create classrooms using “extension fields” (available in V2.1 of Clever), allowing them to define classrooms based on custom criteria.
Visitor Management
Kiosk
We’ve made a few updates to the Visitor Management Kiosk (v3.5.0) aimed at boosting performance, reliability, and overall user experience.
Updates for users will be available on September 1, 2025.
Badge printing during Touch-Free Check-In
We have improved badge printing behavior by resolving an issue where badges were still printing even when the ‘Print Badges For Quick Badges’ was turned off.
Student Status Accuracy
“Off Campus”/”Checked In” now displays correctly when Track Off Campus is on.
Profile Photos
Images captured on the “Take Photo” screen now display in the correct orientation on all iPads.
Receptionist Mode
Users will notice clearer feedback, consistent labels, and smoother search/phone entry.
Faster, More Accurate ID Scanning
When the front camera is used on the Scan Driver’s License screen, the app now scans the front of the ID for best results.
