Halloween Safety Tips

Hallo-weekend is right around the corner and you know what that means; your little pumpkins will be out trick-or-treating all night. Here at PikMyKid, we want to ensure that you know the best ways to keep your child safe. There’s no reason to be spooked this Halloween if all of the precaution-scary measures are taken.

Here are a few tips to keep your kids scary safe this Halloween.

Let your little pumpkins glow

Walking around at night can be dangerous. Make sure you child is holding or wearing a flashlight or reflective device. This way, the cars and vampires will be scared off.

Grab your ghoul-friends

Going with a group always makes situations safer. Call up your neighbors and see if they would all like to go candy hunting together. Your children will love to have their friends join as well.

Witch is better: face paint or face-masks?

Face paint! Face-masks can obstruct your child’s vision. In order to be sure they are crossing the street safely, nothing should be in the way. Painting your child’s face with nontoxic face paint is the better option.

Before allowing your children to dive into their bucket of candy (which you know they will try to do), wait until you get home to sort through it. As much as we do not want to believe it, there have been many cases of candy that has been tampered with. Make sure all treats are in tact and unopened.

Remember, safety is no joke. We wish you a fang-tastic Halloween!
