We all remember being children. Some of us remember it more fondly than others.

Regardless, we all remember how devious we could be. Whether breaking something and hiding it, lying about doing our chores, or bunking homework to play with our friends, we all had our moments.

A seven year old boy named Nathan, however, deserves some sort of award for the lengths he went to convince his parents to be allowed to stay up. Reddit user EclecticBlue shared this snapshot of their son’s attempt at forging a note.

clever but fake note to get child more video game time

The note reads:

“Dear parents.

Nathan has been doing good in all his except for video game class!
If he does not stay up all night playing video games, he will get kicked out of school!!!
Start letting him stay up all night, and start tonight!
He can play anything, computers, Wii, iPod, iPad, phone and any other electronic [sic].

From,
The school.”

While it is unclear if he actually expected his parents would believe that this letter was from “The school”, or that he had an actual video game class, we can all agree that Nathan is very cute and should not be allowed to grow up.
